POSITION TITLE:  Food Service Second Cook

FLSA:  Food Service Staff Compensation Plan

SALARY: $16.50 per/hr

 

PRIMARY PURPOSE:  

 

The Food Service Cook provides quality food and customer service to students in a safe, timely and pleasant manner.

  1. Prepares food safely, using the proper methods and according to recipes. 
  2. Assure proper portion control for serving and maintaining food cost.
  3. Maintain accurate records and documents.
  4. Assume responsibilities of manager in the event of manager’s absence.
  5. Assist Manager with inventory ordering, receiving and control.
  6. Properly operates, utilizes and cleans equipment.
  7. Demonstrates excellent communication skills, customer service skills, and is team oriented.
  8. Recipe development based on need and trend.
  9. Responsible for proper food storage.
  10. Mastery of cooking skills and methods.
